Platform Specific Reporting Tools:
Facebook: Report posts or photos that violate Community Standards via the menu next to the post. For privacy violations, individuals can use the dedicated support report forms.
Instagram: Best way to report abusive content is by using the Report link near the content itself.
Grievance Officers:
Under India’s IT Rules 2021 (and 2026 amendments), significant social media intermediaries are required to remove non-consensual intimate content within 24 hours of receiving a complaint. However, this clock only begins when a grievance officer is directly contacted.
